The federal government decided to allow cellular carriers to get rid of their analog cell phone networks in February. Home security technicians are making their rounds, upgrading security systems for thousands of customers. It’s the end of the nationwide network that launched the U.S. wireless industry 24 years ago, and it leaves a surprising number of users like security customers cell not to work. This is a federally mandated thing and perhaps a million cell phones will lose service, but easy to replace. Cellular carriers will be allowed to shut down analog cell phone networks after February 18. Your cell phone backup on your alarm security will no longer work. Please give us a call at the office to discuss your options. We are sorry for the inconvenience. |
